Ideas to get the Father's Day gift right

Surprise your daddy with stylish, useful and practical gifts!

Father's Day arriving and the preparations are varied.

While some children plan that fancy lunch, with their daddy's favorite foods, others want to surprise them with unforgettable gifts for this important person.

The fact is that, over the years, in addition to the daily rush, it becomes more and more challenging to find a gift that demonstrates the affection and love for this very special figure.

But how did this tradition get started?

In the year 1909, Sonora Louise Smart Dodd, an American whose father was an ex-American Civil War combatant, felt she had to find a way to honor her father.

And just as mothers already had a special date, Sonora thought of creating a Father's Day too, as a way to further strengthen family ties.

And there was one more important reason for that day: his father raised all his children by himself, after his mother's death.

On June 19, 1910, Sonora had her petition made official, being chosen this month for the celebration of Father's First Day.

The success was so great that soon all regions of the United States embraced this celebration.

In 1966, the American President Richard Nixon made the date official on the calendar and in 1972, Father's Day (Father's Day) became a national holiday, always celebrated on the third Sunday in June.

Father's Day in Brazil

In Brazil, the first celebration of Father's Day dates back to the 1950s.

More precisely, August 14, 1953, when the publicist Sylvio Bhering had the idea of creating a contest where 3 types of parents would be honored: the one with the most children, the oldest and the youngest.

Surprisingly, a father of 31 children won the award, in addition to one just 16 years old and another 98 years old.

The press was in full force at the event, causing huge repercussions.

Then Father's Day was instituted to be celebrated on the second Sunday in August, until today.

Now, speaking of gifts...

If your dad is a sports dad, bet on running shoes, breathable clothing, devices that show performance like smart sports bracelets or a smartwatch, plus vital signs, among other things.

For that vain dad, there are wonderful products like body moisturizers, anti-sense creams, barber shop kits, with shaving, hair and mustache products, electric shavers, hair clippers and much more.

For a gourmet dad, espresso makers, barbecue kit, custom cooler with his favorite beverage, great wine and craft beers.

Now, if your dad is a dedicated reader, books on a variety of subjects can capture your attention with your heart too, which can be printed or digital using the Kindle.

Whichever gift you choose, the biggest celebration is one in which we have the privilege of being with the one we love and creating memories for a lifetime.

A happy and blessed Father's Day!
